Until Umbrella 2007, my badge and tickets for the events arrived yesterday complete with big orange sticker to show I’m a first timer.
This is what I’m doing (for now)
Thursday
12.30pm – First timers lunch (If we get there in time – it’s out of my hands)
2pm – Lynne Brindley plenary session
3.30pm – Either IT governance or Practical uses for Web2.0
4.45pm – Exhibition for freebies finding new and exciting library products
7.30pm – Awards dinner (and pub hopefully)
Friday
9.30am – Either Digital Outreach and Social Engagement or Web2.0 and Information Literacy
11.15am – Building your portfolio (should maybe be thinking about this now) or the talking books one .
4pm – Not sure – maybe Marketing or I might take some time out.
7.30pm – Banquet (I want to see Hatfield House, but I’m not dressing up)
Saturday
9am – Information Literacy in Public Libraries
10.30am – Electronic resources at the smaller service points or Usability testing
Looking back over this, I realise I haven’t really made any decisions about where I’m going to be, I’m sure I’ll figure it out when I’m there.
I’ve no doubt we’ll be in the pub still, after the bigiwigs are done
Just need to sort out which one I guess…
